Nose
Made in the medium sweet to sweet style, this Gewürztraminer Dolce has fragrant aromas of white flowers, lychee, apricot, and a hint of orange zest.
Palate
Intense but delicate flavors of honey coated stone fruits and refreshing acidity balance well on the palate. A hint of allspice and hazelnuts notes linger on the finish. Refined and succulent.
Winemaking
The grapes were left on the vines long enough to gain higher sugar level to make this Dolce style wine. All grapes were carefully hand-picked and went through gentle pressing to obtain pure juice. After pressing, the juice was chilled, settled, and racked into a stainless steel tank for cold fermentation. Fermentation proceeded slowly to retain delicate, floral aromas and wonderful fruit flavors. The fermentation was arrested in the middle of its process to preserve natural sweetness in wine.
