On the palate, velvety fruit tannins coat the mouth before giving way to black tea and coriander. The finish is lengthy and bold with red raspberries, candied orange and cocoa.
Nestled at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain in the Sonoma Valley, the Landmark Estate Vineyard boasts three distinct soil types, composed of gravelly, mineral-heavy loam. The vines were sourced from budwood that originated at the legendary Chateau Beaucastel by way of the Tablas Creek Nursery.

The wine is made like our Pinot Noir – after a full destemming, the fruit is cold-soaked for five days. It is punched down by hand during the fermentation to gently extract flavor and tannins and pressed at dryness. It is aged in 500 liter neutral puncheons to preserve the varietal’s bright nose.
The bold acidity and fruit balanced by minerality and earth will pair perfectly with Duck à l’Orange, roasted root vegetable risotto or herb braised turkey thighs.
