Nose

Fully ripe aromas of black plums, pomegranate juice, smoked meat, mineral earth, spice, and a hint of bacon.

Palate

It has a silky soft initial palate with a mouth coating lush mid-palate, and a seamless long finish.

Growing Conditions

This is a thing of beauty for Rhone style wine lovers. A blend of several different Syrah blocks, Grenache, and a touch of Petite Sirah round out this delicious proprietary blend from La Sirena.
The blend comes from several Syrah sites including our own Barrett Vineyards (a tiny 2 acre block at the foot of Mount St. Helena), some Grenache from a vineyard site in the eastern hills of St Helena, and a dollop of Petite Sirah from a neighboring vineyard in Calistoga. All are exceptional vineyard sites, quite rocky and steep, producing an incredibly layered, textural, and complex wine.
