Palate
The wine has a very pretty profile of white melon and white peach. It has great texture, and the crisp acidity of the long finish is a perfect counter-point to the richness of the wine.
Growing Conditions
In 2014, a perfect growing year and exemplary fruit condition put the focus on maintaining acidity and balance.
Winemaking
For the first time we were able to use fruit from Ritchie Vineyard and from Bacigalupi Vineyard in crafting our flagship Chardonnay. We dialed back the use of new oak moderately to allow these great sites to express themselves. The resulting wine continues to raise the bar on a series of wellmade Flanagan Chardonnays.
