Nose
The nose displays a pretty mix of violet, black fruits, orange blossom, and bergamot.
Palate
On the palate the wine shows red and black current intermingled with mocha and earth notes. There is a ton of structure, and, at the same time, is very elegant. The texture feels “just right” with fine grained, supple, ripe tannins. This wine shows a little less grip in the palate than the 2013.
Growing Conditions
The 2014 vintage brought us the third year in a row of perfect weather. A combination of moderate temperatures and no late season rain made it a great year for growers.
Winemaking
We picked 10/1st in 2014, which was early, but not the earliest ever. The 2014 Flanagan Cabernet was fermented in Taransaud 4 ton
fermenters and aged in 100% new French oak.
