Nose
The result is a wine that is an aromatic powerhouse with ripe, roasted blackberries, black raspberries, blackcurrants, ink, black cherries in cream, and roasted nuts. Hints of dark chocolate, violets and wild sage add to the aromatic complexity.
Palate
This is a mouth-filling wine exploding with black and blue fruit flavors, a touch of sexy oak, and a lush, ripe mid-palate. The tannins integrate seamlessly with the wine’s intensity, and the finish is amazingly long.
Aging
aged 20 months in 90% new French oak barrels, and was bottled without fining or filtration.
