A brief history
Ever since we were young our father would tell us how he grew up in Italy and how our grandfather, Luigi Castellucci made wine in his basement. Some of the values our parents instilled in us from an early age were that family, cooking, and sharing was important – and wine was always on the table.
Our father got into the wine business about 20 years ago by purchasing vineyards in the Napa Valley. At that time we didn’t plan to make wine, however it was always something our father wanted to do – keeping the family tradition alive. Our father had the foresight at that time to carefully select special sites on Spring Mountain, in Rutherford, in Carneros and also at our home in St. Helena. From that point we became a source of grapes for highly respected wineries farming more than 50 acres of vineyards in the Napa Valley.
In 2012 we decided as a family to use some of the grapes and begin bottling our own wines. We are immensely proud to be able to continue this family tradition that started in a basement almost a century ago.
Salute!
