Growing Conditions
Influenced by the cooling effect of the Pacific Ocean, Carneros is ideally suited
for growing exceptional Merlot, yielding a wine with beautiful structure and a
velvety texture. The 2019 summer was consistently warm and relatively mild, as
dry weather continued into autumn, making the vintage one of the best in years.
Although a smaller crop compared to 2018, the long moderate summer allowed
grapes on the vines plenty of time to develop full flavors.
