Nose
Opens with aromatic notes of brambles, rhubarb and fresh-cracked pepper.
Palate
Flavors of blackberry, wild strawberry and orange zest are accented with white pepper spice on the finish. Rich tannins, medium plus body and a clean finish make this Zinfandel immediately enjoyable.
Growing Conditions
Red volcanic souls, big rocks and old vines are all trademark characteristics of this vineyard that was originally planted back in the early 1880's.
Aging
Aged in 100% French and American oak, 30% new, for 17 months.
Appearance
Delightful ruby red.
