Nose
Stone fruits along with anise, nutmeg and vanilla from oak aging make up the aromatic profile.
Palate
Flavors of apple, pear and fig are the most obvious, with many more subtle nuances to be revealed by aging.
Growing Conditions
The chilly Santa Maria Valley produces amazing Chardonnay year after year. Even in 2009, after an inch of rain and some hot days, the ripe Chardonnay at Bien Nacido was still loaded with acid.
