Blackberry, cassis, coffee and black tea define a wine that has reached full phenological ripeness without losing its essential cabernet character.

On the palate, the wine is rich and open, with sweet tannins that are nutty, ripe and silky.

Growing Conditions

Make no mistake, this is a true mountain wine: concentrated, dense and packed with flavor. Yet it also possesses a seamless elegance that belies its intensity.

Our Vintner Select Cabernet was harvested on October 8th.

Bottled: June 2016.

Fifteen days macerating on the skins before being gently pressed to French oak barrels, approximately 50% new.

It was barrel-aged for nineteen months, being racked five times during this period, and was then bottle-aged for an additional seven months prior to release.
