A brief history
A gentle approach to winemaking and a connection to the land, these are the principles that guide Labry Wines.
Labry Wine comes from the heart of two committed wine enthusiasts, Ed and Kim Labry, who’s mutual interest in wine matured during getaways to the Napa Valley. Their shared passion eventually led to the purchase of four acres on the prestigious Bella Oaks Lane on the south end of the Rutherford Bench. In addition to Cabernet, they knew they wanted to make Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, which necessitated finding a world-class winemaking talent proficient in all these varieties.
Winemaker Keith Emerson made the perfect fit for the Labry’s vision. Keith has fifteen years of experience working at the acclaimed Vineyard 29, producing old-world inspired reds and whites, and together with the Labry’s they craft small-batch wines of character, integrity, and passion. At Labry Wines Keith’s focus is on limited production wines spanning three distinct varieties and appellations, Sauvignon Blanc from Oakville, Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley in Sonoma and our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon in Rutherford which allows his full focus to be squarely on creating three wines of purpose opposed to wines of mass production.
