Nose

Black fruit and blueberries seasoned with hints of clove and
vanilla.

Palate

Focused core structure with ample fruit and spice notes overlaying
it. Refreshing acidity brightens the fruit and gives the wine a pure fresh
finish.

Growing Conditions

2015 was another drought year marked by a warm January
and early bud break. While much of the valley saw large amounts of shatter
in the vineyards drastically reducing the 2015 crop, our vineyard typically
flowers later and escaped much of the detrimental effects of the weather
and allowed us to maintain our normal average of 3.2 tons/acre. A steady
summer with periodic heat waves produced fruit with small berries and
thicker skins yielding good concentration in the wines. Harvest at the
estate began mid September and concluded on October 2.
